Get to know the Statistical Office in Bydgoszcz
The Statistical Office in Bydgoszcz, with its headquarters in Bydgoszcz and branches in Inowrocław, Toruń and Włocławek, is responsible at regional level for, amongst other things:
- conducting censuses and other statistical surveys,
- collecting, storing, processing and analysing statistical data,
- sharing and disseminating the resulting statistical information,
- developing methodologies for statistical surveys,
- conducting surveys and analyses relevant to the specific characteristics of the voivodship, including through cooperation with scientific and research institutions, as well as central and local government units,
- providing information support to local government units and to local government advisory and expert units,
- providing statistical education,
- keeping the National Official Register of the Territorial Division of the Country (TERYT),
- keeping the National Official Business Register (REGON).
At national level, the Office carries out tasks relating to the nationwide specialisation in the labour market, which includes conducting statistical surveys and collecting, storing, processing and analysing statistical data, as well as making the results of surveys and statistical analyses available and preparing analytical materials.
