The Centre of Regional Studies of Wielkopolskie voivodship
The tasks of the Centre include identifying the demand for statistical information, providing access to, disseminating and promoting the results of public statistics surveys, creating publications presenting the results of a statistical description of social and economic processes, as well as conducting thematic and interdisciplinary statistical analyses. The tasks of the Centre also include providing information services to local government units, promoting public statistics among pupils and students, cooperating with research and development centers, and promoting national censuses.The organizational structure of the Centre consists of:
- Voivodship Statistical Information Centre,
- Division of Aggregated Studies,
- Analysis Division.
The Voivodship Statistical Information Centre provides statistical data from publications and press releases by phone and on-site. It accepts orders for unpublished statistical data from the Statistical Office (SO) dataset and for the preparation of studies based on information published by the Statistics Poland (GUS). It cooperates with the mass media, organises press conferences and facilitates journalists' contacts with the Office's specialists. It maintains the library collection, as well as the sales and marketing of publications.
The tasks of the Aggregated Studies Division include, in particular, the preparation and implementation of the Office's publishing plan, with the participation of other organisational units.
The tasks of the Analysis Division include developing statistical information and analyses, with particular emphasis on the needs of external recipients, including local and central government administration.
