Activity
Employees of the Centre for Small Area Statistics actively participate in several European projects: "ESSNet on Data Integration", "ESSNet on Small Area Estimation", "MEETS", and "MEMOBUST". Their work has resulted, among other things, in the preparation of a comprehensive report for the "ESSNet on Small Area Estimation" project, which describes in detail the current state of knowledge in small area estimation methodology. Furthermore, thanks to the efforts of the Centre for Small Area Statistics, the Statistical Office in Poznań was the only institution in Europe to be granted training in statistical matching methods under the "ESSNet on Data Integration" project.
Employees of the Centre for Small Area Statistics:
- are members of the working subgroup on statistical and mathematical methods for censuses,
- served as experts in the Central Statistical Office's work on creating the Analytical Microdata Database for census purposes,
- conduct extensive scientific and research cooperation, including with the Department of Statistics at the Poznań University of Economics and Business.
The Centre's activities are also reflected in its employees' participation in scientific conferences.
