Information regarding the processing of personal data
in connection with the provision of statistical information, ordering statistical data or publications
Below, we provide information about the principles and rights you have in connection with the processing of your personal data. [1]
- Controller
The controller of your personal data is the Director of the Statistical Office in Bydgoszcz, with its registered office in Bydgoszcz (85-066) at ul. Ks. Stanisława Konarskiego 1-3, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Controller’.

- Purposes and legal basis for personal data processing
The purpose of processing your personal data: providing statistical information in accordance with your enquiry or order.
Legal basis: legal obligation incumbent on the Controller and the Controller's performance of tasks carried out in the public interest in connection with the implementation of tasks specified in the Act on Official Statistics [2] .
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data may also be the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or taking action at the request of the data subject before concluding a contract [3] .
- Recipients of personal data
We may make your personal data available to entities authorised under generally applicable law and other authorities competent to handle the matter.
A separate category of recipients to whom your personal data may be disclosed are entities authorised to handle deliveries and entities with which the Controller has concluded an agreement entrusting the processing of personal data in the scope of technical support of systems, including the email system.
- Period of storage of personal data
Your personal data will be processed for the period necessary to provide the data/fulfil the order, and then for the periods resulting from: office and archiving regulations [4] and the Uniform Subject File Plan for statistical offices [5] .
- Rights of the data subject
You have the right to:
- access to personal data, including the right to obtain a copy thereof;
- request rectification (correction) of personal data;
- request the erasure of personal data if they are not erased by the Controller within the above-mentioned period;
- request to limit the processing of personal data;
- object to processing for reasons related to your particular situation,
- lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if, in your opinion, the processing of your personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR.
- Voluntary provision of/Obligation to provide personal data
Providing personal data is voluntary, however, failure to provide certain personal data (e.g. necessary to conclude a contract) may prevent us from fulfilling an order for statistical data or publications.
- Automated decision-making, including profiling
Your personal data will not be:
- profiled;
- subject to automated decision-making.
